I have lived in Northwest Arkansas for almost nine years. NINE YEARS. It is so hard for me to actually type that out because I never planned on living here any longer than my last two years of high school. But, here I am….nine years later…..struggling. It has helped so much now that Chad and I live here together, but we are constantly sitting around home trying to find something to do.
While we figure out where we are going to live next, we have been trying to find things to occupy our time and help us make the most out of our current town. Most weekends that involves going for a hike, walking on a trail somewhere, or sitting inside while it rains. But, last weekend, we had the most refreshing outing!
We made the 20 minute drive out to a place called Terra Studios. It is the most unique place, with art everywhere you turn! They are known for their blown glass blue birds of happiness, but this tiny little art community had street art, crazy creatures, glass murals, decorated tiles, and even a hobbit house. Everything was beautiful, unique, and a tiny bit weird, which is exactly why I loved it.
Sometimes life can feel a little stagnant, like you’re stuck in the same place, doing the same things, but you can always find a way to shake things up or be pleasantly surprised. That’s exactly what Terra Studios did for me. It reminded me that although I’ve lived her for nine years and can’t wait until the day that we get to move, I can always find things to be excited about.
I mean, a trash troll?! I want one of those for our apartment. We bought blue glass love birds that are now sitting on our bookshelf in our living room as a reminder that no matter where Β we are, we will always find an adventure! So, if you’re ever looking for what to do in Northwest Arkansas, put Terra Studios at the top of your list.

Even the bathrooms were cool!
Looks like a fun day out. Its interesting discovering cool things in your own back yard.
I have to admit, I have never been to Arkansas before. I actually have family there. I need to make a visit!
Itβs definitely refreshing to find some new things to do! Arkansas is beautiful! You should definitely make the trip at least once π
I love the whole idea behind this, Stef! We used to live in Cleveland and stayed longer than we’d planned as well, so I’m familiar with how you’re feeling π I know you guys do a great job of going off on adventures but this is a nice way to break out of a rut too! Loved the vlog too, can’t believe you guys did 10 laps π
Thank you so much Lynn! Iβm so glad to know Iβm not the only one who has felt this way haha and Iβm glad you ended up being able to move somewhere you love! I know the 10 laps was a bit much to get to the middle but it was a fun day ππ
This was an awesome blog post. Lots of great photos Stef? Maybe Chad too lol. I watched the video also and it was nice seeing you guys out and about somewhere different. As always, thanks for the friendship!
Thanks so much Ronnie! I usually take the photos while Chad is videoing, so you were spot on! haha. We’re glad you liked the change of scenery too! It was so nice switching it up a little! Thanks so much for your friendship too, we love following along with all of your adventures and eats!
What a charming place, and so close to you, too! π
