Travel Goals for 2018

What’s the thing that makes you undeniably happy? For Chad and I, the answer is traveling. It doesn’t have to involve staying in fancy hotels or extravagant international trips, although those are great too, but genuinely seeing any new place is so exciting to us. So in a year of uncertainty for us, there’s one thing that we are certain of, we are going to fill as much of our time with travel as possible.

So, here are our travel goals for 2018

Another road trip!

  • If you didn’t know, Chad and I did a 10 day RV road trip last year, and it was probably the highlight of our 2017. You can see where we stopped along the way here! So, this year we absolutely want to do it again, but this time longer. Our stretch goal is to be able to do a month long drive around the US and Canada! A few of the stops we want to make are Seaside, Austin to see my sister, California, Oregon and Banff! Any other suggestions for our trip?!

Chad’s Dream Trip: Iceland!

  • Chad has wanted to go to Iceland for as long as I can remember. There may be no one who loves the snow and cold weather more than Chad does, so Iceland is everything that he loves in one place! We plan on heading there later this year, so the blue lagoon, glaciers, and waterfalls are at the top of our list of things to see! For anyone that has been, let us know the things that you loved the most!

Annual Trip to the Beach!

  • Every year we make a trip to the beach. Up until last year, we had gone to Seaside, FL three years in a row. Last year, we switched it up and went to Tulum, Mexico! Although Tulum was beautiful, this year we are going back to Seaside. We absolutely love this little beach town, with the coziest little restaurants, the cutest bookstore, and the most beautiful beaches. Also, we can bring our pets, so if you know us, you know that’s a major plus. We can’t wait to head back to Seaside and continue our tradition!

Europe!

  • We don’t know if it will be this year, or early next year, but we absolutely want to get to Europe! Chad and I have both been individually, but never together. So, we want to make a trip that way as soon as we can to check off some of our bucket list destinations! A few of those are the Greek Islands, Italy together (we’ve both been), Ireland and Switzerland! Where have you been in Europe that you would highly recommend?

When you know what makes you happy, surround yourself with it as much as you can! Even though these are our big travel goals for the year, we have small ones too. We plan on taking regular weekend trips to our surrounding cities like Oklahoma City, Kansas City, and Nashville. We plan on going camping on the weekends so we can take in new State and National Parks! I also want to make a trip to New York City again, but this time with Chad! So, we can’t wait to see what this year has in store! First up, next weekend we are going to Arizona! What are your big travel goals for 2018?
