The other week I ordered my first big haul from Thrive Market. I don’t know what was more fun, browsing through all of the amazing products they have available, or unboxing my order and remembering everything I had picked out. Regardless, if you’ve never checked out Thrive Market, I highly recommend it. It’s like wholesale prices on awesome healthy, all real ingredient brands! Click here to get 25% off of your first order! And let me know what you get!
One of the brands that I ended up with in my box was Chebe gluten free dry mixes! I didn’t intentionally pick two Chebe items, but when I saw gluten free pizza crust (duh) and gluten free cinnamon rolls (duh again) I apparently added them both to my cart. My impulsive shopping did not let me down.
The gluten free cinnamon rolls were probably better than anything I could have made myself. You still need the ingredients to make the filling and any icing you want to put on top, but the cinnamon rolls were soft and so tasty! They soaked up the cinnamon sugar filling perfectly so that middle bite is delicious and sweet. Don’t act like you don’t save the middle piece for last! I was worried they would be lacking in texture since they’re gluten free, but honestly it was one of the better cinnamon rolls I’ve had!
The other mix that I ended up with in my box was the Chebe gluten free pizza dough mix. I am all about homemade pizza, so it was an instant “Add to Cart” moment. I have to admit that I have never had gluten free pizza before. I am a bit of a pizza snob, so I’m always worried that trying anything different will ruin pizza for me. But, I was wrong and dramatic, because gluten free pizza crust does NOT ruin pizza. It was surprisingly flavorful and crispy! I will say, there are two options for how to cook the pizza on the box.
1. Cook crust half way, add toppings, finish cooking.
2. Add toppings, cook pizza.
I chose option 2, and I definitely should have chosen option 1. The crust stayed a little chewy under the toppings and didn’t crisp up like the rest of the crust, but other than that, it was delicious! Obviously I just need to buy it again so I can cook it properly this time!
So, if you’re ever cruising through Thrive Market, or if you’re at Whole Foods, or if you just go to their website, definitely give one of their mixes a try! I would go back for the cinnamon rolls for sure. The pizza was a little trickier, but still tasty if you’re a gluten intolerant pizza lover!
