We’ve posted about Oklahoma City before, but this time we did Oklahoma City right. We were lucky enough to be able to collaborate with Visit OKC for an amazing weekend in one of our favorite weekend getaway cities! From the food to the activities to the amazing hotel, we had a weekend full of all of our favorite things. If you are ever nearby or passing through, be sure to stop and check out this amazing little city!
Where to eat in Oklahoma City!
We were lucky enough to have Visit OKC make us reservations at some amazing restaurants throughout the weekend. From pizza to burgers to BBQ, everything we ate was absolutely delicious. Sometimes you don’t realize a city is a foodie hub until you have a local tell you where to eat. So, here are all of the best restaurants we ate at that were absolutely Touring Tastebuds approved!
We had brunch at The Hatch, and it was honestly one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in a long time. They have a menu item called “Loaded Tumblers” and they were UNREAL. Hash browns stuffed with cheese and bacon, covered in hollandaise sauce. Ugh, I wish I had a bowl of them in front of me right now. We also tried basically one of everything on the menu, including a pancake flight that was so sweet and tasty. No brunch is complete without a mimosa, so we absolutely said a cheers for all of the amazing food and even better service!
We love pizza. That’s no secret. We eat pizza pretty much everywhere we travel, so when we saw pizza was the first meal that Visit OKC had set up for us, we knew this weekend was a great idea. Hall’s Pizza Kitchen was amazing. We actually said it was better than our favorite pizza place at home which we are pretty obsessed with, so basically it was a winner. And we got to sit on a rooftop, so double win.
I literally told Chad I wanted to get married in a building like the Jone’s Assembly, so obviously I was a fan of the atmosphere. The food was phenomenal too. Chad and I both got burgers because our waitress said the burger was her favorite, and we would take her advice again in a heartbeat. We also had their homemade scratch biscuits as an appetizer (ha, yes biscuits for an appetizer), and Chad said they were the best biscuits he’s ever had. He’s eaten a lot of biscuits, so they were obviously super good. Make sure you get one of their super tasty cocktails too if you stop in!
And one other fun spot!
Stonecloud Brewery was an awesome little spot with really great beer and a really fun environment! I love going to a craft brewery that actually has a variety of beers. They weren’t all IPAs or stouts, we both got a relatively light beer that still had great flavor! Also they had a BBQ food truck outside, so that was a plus!
So, if you’re foodies like us, be sure to check out all that Oklahoma City has to offer. From pizza to burgers to beer, they have it all. We definitely have added a few new places to our list of go-to spots while we are in town! What city is your favorite for a foodie weekend?
Oh that all looks so delicious! Yum yum… I never expected Oaklahoma to be such a foodie place…
We didn’t expect them to have so much amazing food either, be we were pleasantly surprised!
