Now that we live in Nashville, we have a TRADER JOES right around the corner! My excitement over this is probably a little unreasonable, but I’ve honestly been wanting to go to a Trader Joe’s for years and now finally can! Whenever I want!
The first time we went in I pretty much just bought anything and everything that I laid my eyes on. From produce to frozen goodies to wine to cookies, you name it, I picked it up. I am food obsessed so I was basically in foodie heaven with all the healthy and organic options for such affordable prices. Below is the YouTube haul we did after our first trip. I was obviously passionate about my purchases.
We’ve been back a few times since, so my impulsive buying has slowed down and I’m a little more strategic with what I buy. I have a few favorite frozen options. I have reigned in my crazy and am back to buying healthy snacks instead of three kinds of cookies. I actually buy things that can prepare a full meal instead of a laundry list of miscellaneous items.
That being said, this time I went in and was smacked in the face with all things pumpkin and fall. And with the way I have been desperately counting down to fall this year, I had to get my hands on at least a few of the festive offerings! Below are the things I would definitely recommend if you are a festive eater like me:
Pumpkin Spice Coffee: I’m not a pumpkin spice latte fan (don’t hate me), but I do appreciate a good flavored coffee. This one is still a bold coffee blend with just a festive spice taste that is super pleasant!
Pumpkin Spice Waffle and Pancake Mix: It’s like pumpkin bread in waffle form (or pancake but I have a mini waffle maker that I live by). Just enough of that warm spice taste without being too much. So good.
RX Bar Apple Cinnamon Flavor: It’s like the healthy version of the green Laffy Taffy with cinnamon on it. Which hopefully sounds appealing to you because it was super tasty!
Red Wine: I love red wine, but I just can’t bare to drink it when I’m sweating profusely in 100 degree weather. So once we broke the 80 degree mark, I was all over it. I love these two that I tried and they’re only $4.99?! That still blows my mind.
I also got spinach tortellini, my favorite frozen cauliflower rice stir fry, and Spindrift galore! I passed up on the Pumpkin Spice pop tarts and the Pumpkin Spice cookies, but I totally would have tried them if I wasn’t already over my grocery budget! Do you guys have a grocery budget?
If you have a Trader Joe’s where you are, what are your must haves?! I’m still having so much fun trying new things every time we go in! I want your recommendations!
